Let's talk about the role and responsibilities:
Digital Engineering is currently looking to recruit Senior Java Developers in to join the team. A highly collaborative team that is focused on designing and developing the best solution for our clients. If you love technology, working with the best and coming up with innovative and creative solutions for clients. The role can be based in Sydney, Canberra or Hobart.
You will ideally have strong proven Java Development experience (if you have Kotlin experience, we'll love to hear about it!) and expertise in Microservices and Springboot.
Let's talk about your qualifications and experience:
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent degree, with general IT experience and familiarity in Agile ways of working.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience creating complex Systems using multiple languages.
- Extensive experience in Programming and Applications' - Design, Build & Deployment.
- Experienced in relevant programming languages/standards in one or more of the following:
- Back-end Dev: Java, Kotlin, Node.js.
- Demonstrate ability in writing unit tests and getting test coverage as high as possible.
- Clear understanding and good experience building, implementing, and interacting with Microservices (including but not limited to REST APIs, JSON, JWT, Postman).
- Cloud based infrastructure experience like AWS or Azure (or PaaS offerings like Tanzu or OpenShift).
- Knowledge and development skills on relational (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases as well as in-memory caches (e.g., Redis).
- Full lifecycle delivery experience in building reusable components covering DevOps, CI/CD and Automated Testing.
