The focus of your role:
We're looking for a Manager to join Capgemini Invent's Corporate Experience team in Australia, who is a dedicated individual to join our team as PMO Manager. The responsibilities of the PMO Manager include managing the day-to-day activities in the PMO, providing guidance on PMO policies and processes, overseeing PMO staff, and collaborating with our client's project stream leads to determine the best approach to keep programs and projects on track. Supporting the Project Leads with your Project Management Experience is key to the success of the projects at our clients.
To be successful as a PMO Manager, you should demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.
The role is based in Sydney.
What you'll do:
- Collaborating with other project leaders to define, prioritise, and develop delivery approach.
- Understand and be able to draft new and improve existing project management office policies and processes.
- Continuously evaluating projects/phases to ensure they are meeting client's standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
- Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.
- Analysing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
- Accurately documenting the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget, and justification.
- Preparing documents for monthly meetings (Progress, Quality & Steering Committee)
- Facilitating Progress, Quality & Steering Committee meetings
- Support new business development opportunities
- Inspire, and collaborate with your team members
- Bring Capgemini's and your own expertise to bear with clients.
What you'll bring:
- Experience, confidence, and maturity in working with client leadership
- Demonstrated experience in Project Management (Agile & Waterfall)
- Experience in PMO and execution within major programs enabled by tech/data, preferably relating to business and technology considerations.
- Must have a track record of strong client relationships across multiple assignments
- Experience within the utility industry is preferred.
